About this data & sources

Capacity and openings come from the ward's own sheet, 「令和8年10月入園　認可保育施設の定員と募集数」, figures as of 1 September 2026. All 194 licensed facilities are included, and the numbers reconcile exactly against the ward's published totals: 15,929 places, 447 openings.

Addresses and phone numbers come from Edogawa City's own facility directories — 認可保育園, 小規模保育所, 認定こども園 and 事業所内保育所. Every one of the 194 has a verified address.

The index calculator follows the ward's published 利用調整指数表 and reproduces all three of the worked examples the ward gives on 利用調整の基本. It covers work-based scoring, which is most households; illness, caregiving, study and job-hunting are on the ward's fuller table and aren't scored here. It's an estimate, not a decision.
